Ian is also available to give Talks/Demonstrations on the subject of "Drawing with Pastels" to local Art groups, Schools/Colleges etc., and currently teaches Pastelling to adults and children in local community colleges.
Typical 45 minute talk and demo:
Part 1: explanation of the materials, what pastels are and how they work, different types of papers plus fixatives, blending stumps etc.
All accompanied by pastel drawings
Part 2: demonstration of drawing finished by 15 minutes coffee break
Part 3: finishing the picture
He provides all the materials required, charges £4 per person on the basis of at least 15 people enrolling. This is a basic guide, a demo for a school with young children would be different than that for an art society meeting and modifications would be made acc to the type of audience.
